FAQ and contact information
The radar and distance display intentionally blurs friends' "approximate location" for privacy. Friends within 1km are shown at the center (same position as you), and distances are rounded into buckets like "Within 1km" or "Within 3km". If you want the exact current location, tap a friend and use "Check Location". Only at that moment will their precise position appear on the map (and they'll receive a notification that you checked).
Open Settings > izco > Location and confirm it is set to "Always Allow". With "While Using the App", location won't update when the app is closed. Low Power Mode can also reduce location update frequency. Watch for the "Low Power Mode" banner on the home screen.
Open Settings > izco > Notifications and confirm notifications are enabled. Even with notifications enabled, Low Power Mode or Focus Modes (Do Not Disturb, etc.) can delay or suppress notifications.
Enabling Hidden mode hides your location from all friends and stops accepting location-check requests. The app also stops collecting and uploading your location. You can set a time-based release — sharing automatically resumes after the specified time elapses.
izco uses iOS-native Significant Location Change and Geofence APIs and does not continuously use the GPS chip. Typical use consumes about 3–5% of battery per day. If you observe extreme consumption, check Settings > Battery > Last 24 Hours for izco's actual usage and contact us.
Your location is encrypted on your device into a form that only your friends can decrypt before being sent to our servers. The private key exists only on your device, so it is technically impossible for anyone — including izco — to read your location. See the Privacy Policy for details.
In the in-app "Settings" tab, choose "Delete account". Your account and all related data will be deleted. Deletion cannot be reversed.
Friends are added via 6-character alphanumeric invite code or deep link. The other person must have izco installed. Codes do not expire, but please double-check there are no typos and that you have their latest code.
Logging in with the same email address preserves your friend relationships. However, the encryption private key is stored on the device, so switching devices generates a new key — your past location-check records cannot be decrypted on the new device.
