Terms of Service

Preamble

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of izco (the "Service"), a location-sharing application provided by izco ("we", "us", or "our").

Article 1 (Account registration)

Provide accurate information at registration. The Service is not available to users under 13. You are responsible for managing your account.

Article 2 (Handling of location data)

The Service collects location data to enable location sharing among friends. Location data is protected by end-to-end encryption (E2E) and stored on our servers in encrypted form. Neither we nor any third party can decrypt or read its contents. Location data is shared only with mutually accepted friends. You can stop sharing at any time by enabling Hidden mode.

Article 3 (Friend feature)

Location sharing only occurs between mutually accepted friends. Send and accept friend requests at your own discretion. Users you have not accepted will receive no location data. Use the Block feature for suspicious users. We are not responsible for trouble between friends.

Article 4 (Prohibited acts)

The following acts are prohibited: · Stalking, harassment, or other nuisance behavior toward others · Unauthorized use of others' accounts · Use of the Service for illegal purposes · Tampering with or reverse-engineering the Service

Article 5 (Disclaimer)

The Service may change or be suspended without notice. Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence on our part, we are not liable for any damages arising from or in connection with use of the Service. This includes: · Inaccuracy, delay, omission, or error in location data (location may deviate by hundreds of meters or not update for significant periods due to GPS conditions, network environment, iOS specifications, Low Power Mode, etc.) · Events arising from contact, meetings, or travel through the Service · Trouble between friends, unauthorized use by third parties · Outcomes resulting from relying on the Service for decisions about life, body, or property of yourself or others The Service is not a substitute for emergency calls, missing-person searches, or safety verification. In emergencies, dial your local emergency number.

Article 6 (Encryption and inability to disclose location data)

In the Service, location data and location-check records ("Location Data") are end-to-end encrypted on your device using a key generated locally, then stored on our servers. The private key exists only on your device and is never sent to our servers. As a result, we cannot decrypt and provide Location Data for any reason — including requests from yourself, family members, law enforcement, courts, or any other party. However, metadata such as email addresses, display names, login times, IP addresses, push notification tokens, friend relationships, and timestamps of encrypted-data transmission is stored on our servers and may be provided in response to legitimate legal requests. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Article 7 (Privacy)

Handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Article 8 (Changes to these Terms)

We may modify these Terms as needed. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Article 9 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
